  8. FinePrint is a printer driver for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows
  9. NT 4.0.  FinePrint prints any multi-page document onto fewer sheets of
  10. paper by printing 1, 2, 4, or 8 document pages onto each physical sheet
  11. of paper, while maintaining document integrity and clarity.  FinePrint
  12. also allows you to customize your printouts by adding headers, footers,
  13. and watermarks to your pages.

  78. ------------
  79. To install FinePrint, run the program FPxxx.EXE (Windows 95/98) or
  80. FPNTxxx.EXE (Windows NT), where "xxx" is the FinePrint version number.
  81. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

  84. Uninstalling
  85. ------------
  86. In the Start menu, open the Programs folder, then open the FinePrint
  87. folder and select "Uninstall FinePrint."  You may also uninstall FinePrint
  88. in the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs applet.

  464. We are FinePrint Software, a company founded in 1995 by Jonathan
  465. Weiner and Mark O'Brien.  Our mission is to create printing products
  466. that maximize the functionality of existing printing hardware.  Our
  467. innovative approach to printing allows us to create software on all
  468. Windows platforms that works with all existing printers.

  471. Setting Default Paper Size
  472. --------------------------
  473. In many countries the default paper size is A4.  It is possible to
  474. set FinePrint to always use this or other supported sizes by
  475. default.  In the Start menu, open the Settings Printers folder, then
  476. right-click on the FinePrint Driver and select Properties (Windows 95/
  477. 98) or Document Defaults (Windows NT).  This will present you with a
  478. list of choices, and you can select A4 or any other supported paper
  479. size as the default.

  482. FinePrint Dispatcher
  483. --------------------
  484. The FinePrint Dispatcher is a program that runs in the background and
  485. manages the flow of print jobs within FinePrint.  The Dispatcher must
  486. be running in order for FinePrint to operate.  If you ever get an error
  487. message about "Could not locate the FinePrint Dispatcher", you can try
  488. re-launching it from the FinePrint program group in the Start menu.  Or,
  489. you can reboot your computer, since the Dispatcher is launched upon startup.

  492. Registration
  493. ------------
  494. You have downloaded a trial version of FinePrint. If you decide to
  495. use it, registration to the full version costs $29.95. The
  496. registration mechanism we use allows payment by check, credit card,
  497. and electronic payment.  When payment is received, you will be sent a
  498. registration key which you then enter into FinePrint.  Once you have
  499. registered by entering your key, two things will happen:
  500.  
  501. 1. The "unregistered" message printed on each page will be removed.
  502. 2. The 8 page limit will be removed.
  503.  
  504. Registering entitles you to receive free maintenance upgrades of
  505. FinePrint.  Major new releases will be made available to registered
  506. users at a substantial discount.
  507.  
  508. To register, click the Register tab in the FinePrint window and
  509. then click the Order Form button to fill out an order form.  You can
  510. also click the Register Online button to connect to our registration page.
  511.  
  512. After you have registered and receive the serial number, enter it along with 
  513. your name in the spaces provided.
