=================================================License=====
Please note that you have to agree to the license agreement
found in license.txt before using this program.
=====================================General Information=====
This software connects to an atomic time server and uses the
received time to generate the 'Swatch Internet Time'
(http://www.swatch.com/internettime/beatnik_fs_time.html).
Different from the program originally released by Swatch this
program allows you not only to use the atomic time but also
features a higher time resolution (1/100 beats) and a more
precise counter running in its own thread to keep the
displayed time within 1 millisecond resolution. As a feature
you can update your current system time to the proper atomic
time.
To use, simply move the displayed window to a comfortable
screen position by holding the left mouse button down in the
upper part of the window and dragging it to the desired
position.
By clicking the right mouse button in the upper part of the
window you are able to choose from different options in a
menu:
========================================Right-click-menu=====
= Query Time Server
- choose this option if you want to initialize a connection
to an atomic-time-server on the internet. If you are not
connected to the internet or the connection attempt was
not successfull, a small Swiss flag will be displayed at
the top.
If you were able to successfully initialize a connection
there will be shown a 'Zzz' Icon notifying you of the
current time-receiving-process. After you have success-
fully received the proper atomic-time this icon will
change to a 'computer' which shows you that the displayed
time was generated of the atomic-time and not of your
local system time.
*NOTE* If there's no icon change from the 'Zzz' to the
'computer' icon for a longer time just choose this
menu entry again to initialize a new connection
to an atomic-time-server.
= Update System Time
- choose this option if you want to update your local system
time to the received atomic-time.
= Calculator ...
- this feature is provided to let you calculate between
the 'Swatch Internet Time' and the 'normal' time.
To use, just fill in the beats and the 1/100 beats field
and hit the '->' button.
*NOTE* Please be aware that you are able to calculate
in both directions. To generate the proper beat
time from your local time, just click into the
yellow fields to enter a valid time and click
the '<-' button.
Also be aware that you have to use '0' instead
of '24' if you want to convert a time of 12pm.
= Hide
- this feature lets you minimize the main window to tray
(right section of the task bar).
To maximize the program again just click either your left
or right mouse button on the 'clock' icon that has shown up
after minimizing.
= About ...
- shows a small 'About' Dialog Box with credits, version
number and compile date.
= Close
- exit the program by using this menu entry.
