Tweak your desktop to perfection with X-Setup. This fine program offers access to so many hidden Windows settings, it will make your jaw drop. Available tweaks are organized into a tree view with six basic categories: Appearance, General Usage, Hardware, Internet, Network, and System. You can hide/show Start menu items, system icons, and individual drives; tweak the behavior and appearance of Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Internet Information Server, and Netscape; change ActiveDesktop tips; add folder and context menu commands; and much more. You can edit boot options, stop programs from automatically loading with Windows, and remove items from the Uninstall list. There are so many tweaks available that X-Setup includes 17 wizards to help you step through them all in orderly fashion. Plug-in technology enables you to add your own tweaks or possibly download more in the future from the author's Website. Online help is available but falls short of explaining each tweak individually. Overall, though, X-Setup is a computer junkie's delight, and best of all -- it's free!
