  14.  HyperTerminal Private Edition is an enhanced version of the HyperTerminal you got with Windows 95/98/NT. It fills some of the gaps of the original release, such as offering key macros to automate logins and other online tasks, adjustable screen colors and size (even in VT100 emulation), automatic redial of busy numbers, Zmodem Crash Recovery file transfers, TCP/IP support for Telnet, and an easier way to "talk" directly to your modem via AT commands. You can adjust fonts for your viewing preference, but you can't access all the choices on your system. Help is available, but you must open the file from the Start menu rather than the program menu. HyperTerminal Private Edition also fixes a problem you may have encountered with some video cards and Internet Explorer 5.0. If you still connect occasionally to bulletin boards and would like a bit more power than you get with the original HyperTerminal, here's a free solution.
