ChemLab is a well-designed, easy-to-use educational application that enables students to perform chemistry experiments using their PCs. Use the typical lab simulations included as loadable modules or choose the Lab Wizard to create custom simulations (limited until you register). Procedures include titration, decanting, filtering, heating, hot and cold water baths, mixing, and more. A variety of tools and lab equipment (beaker, Buchner funnel, Bunsen burner, burette, and more) are included and readily accessible. Pick your equipment, add materials, follow the detailed procedures, and get a very realistic chemistry lab experience without the real-world expense. Although ChemLab is not a substitute for actual lab experience, it will be useful for simulating the steps involved in performing various chemistry lab experiments. It's an excellent teaching tool.
