  16. This file contains information regarding the posting of the Adastra software
  17. package on Bulletin Board Systems, Internet ftp, and WWW download sites.

  29. OFFICIAL PRODUCT DEFINITION:

  32. Fully and continuously functioning evaluation software package distributed 
  33. via shareware channels, hereafter to be designated as Shareware, Shareware 
  34. package, or Adastra software package.
  35.  
  36. For definitions and explanations pertaining to matters of copyright and
  37. shareware distribution, we would direct you to the files Shr-ware.doc and
  38. ShareW.txt included as part of the Adastra software package.

  42. Limited Distribution License:
  43. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  44. As the exclusive copyright holder for Adastra, Swimming Elk Software
  45. authorizes on-line distribution only in accordance with
  46. the following restrictions.  Disk Vendors and Distributors should
  47. refer to the VENDOR.TXT text file for complete license information.

  49. The Adastra software package is defined as containing all the
  50. material listed in the VENDINFO.DIZ file.  If any files
  51. listed in VENDINFO.DIZ, or VENDINFO.DIZ itself, are missing, then the 
  52. package is not complete and distribution is prohibited. Please contact 
  53. us directly or navigate to our Web site to obtain a complete package 
  54. suitable for distribution.

  56.     o  The Adastra package - including all related program, data,
  57.        and documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way
  58.        (other than that mentioned in the following paragraph)
  59.        and must be distributed as a complete package, without
  60.        exception.  VENDINFO.DIZ contains a list of all files 
  61.        which form part of the Coeli package.
  62.  
  63.     o  Many sites customarily add a small text file
  64.        (advertisement) to each archived file. This text file
  65.        describes the site and tells people that the file was
  66.        downloaded from that particular site. Other sites add a
  67.        small one-line message with their site name and phone
  68.        number into the compressed file, which will display when
  69.        the file is uncompressed. Either of these methods of
  70.        mentioning your BBS or ftp site are acceptable and may
  71.        be used, provided the program and documentation is 
  72.        otherwise unmodified and complete.

  74.     o  Swimming Elk Software prohibits the distribution of outdated
  75.        versions of the Adastra shareware package without written
  76.        permission from Swimming Elk Software. If the version you
  77.        have obtained is over three (3) months old, please
  78.        contact us or navigate to our Web site to ensure you have 
  79.        the most current version.

  81.     o  Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify,
  82.        decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or
  83.        transfer the licensed program or its related files except 
  84.        as provided in this agreement. Any such unauthorized use 
  85.        shall result in immediate and automatic termination of 
  86.        this license.

  88.     o  Licensee hereby agrees not to post the Adastra software package
  89.        publicly in an ftp directory inappropriate to its category.
  90.        Eg. pc/astronomy is an appropriate directory; pc/demo is not.

  93. Distributors are particularly asked to avoid the following terms when 
  94. describing the Adastra software package:

  96. Nag, nagware, public domain, demo, demonstration software, or any other term or phrase
  97. which admits of an interpretation not in keeping with the official product definition given.

  99. Non-compliance with this request may invalidate previous license 
  100. permissions granted by Swimming Elk Software to the distributor (Licensee).

  102. Licensee may not attribute authorship of the Adastra software package
  103. to any name but Swimming Elk Software.

  106. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to Swimming Elk Software.
