  1. Juke v3.5 - The one player for all media types.
  2.  
  3. If you're looking for a simple, yet full featured program to play
  4. all your music, sound and video files and also music CDs, you
  5. have just found it: Juke.
  6.  
  7. Juke lets you create and save playlists or albums intuitively by
  8. drag and drop with the Explorer. You may send them via e-mail to
  9. a friend. This is very useful if your media files are accessible
  10. via a company or campus wide network.
  11.  
  12. Most CD-Players force you to enter the titles of your CDs over
  13. and over again, because they all use their native database. But
  14. not so with Juke. Juke simply shares the CD database of the
  15. Windows CD-Player and its editor is even more convenient.

  17. If you want to hear background music everytime you work at the
  18. PC, simply add Juke to the "Startup" program group. That's all.
  19. At Windows startup Juke will automatically pick up from the
  20. playlist item where it left off when you shut it down.

  22. Juke features native support for most multimedia file types. It
  23. is compatible with all kinds of compressed audio and video and it
  24. is open for additional formats, like MPG, AU, SND, AIF and many
  25. more that will be installed by Microsoft [TM] ActiveMovie,
  26. Media Player or Internet Explorer. Third party drivers are
  27. available for FLI, MOV, JPG and other media types.

  29. In addition, Juke provides the following features:
  30. - Random play, Configurable Intro-Scan, Repeat and Shuffle mode
  31. - Optional automatic MIDI-Reset
  32. - Support for Soundlaster AWE32/AWE64 sound fonts
  33. - Search for tracks within the playlist
  34. - Rename or delete files
  35. - Master volume control
  36. - Position slider for seek control, fast forward, rewind
  37. - Multiple Undo/Redo for playlist operations
  38. - Very flexible graphical user inteface
  39. - Fault tolerant mode
  40. - Soft fade-out
  41. - Shell extension for playing the contents of a directory
  42. - Filter for all supported media files

  44. Juke will run on any computer running Microsoft [TM] Windows 95,
  45. Windows 98 or Windows NT. A Windows compatible sound card is
  46. recommended.

  48. Juke is multi-lingual. Currently it supports English, German, 
  49. French and Spanish. It will examine your system preferences
  50. and automatically show up in the language of your choice. A
  51. Unicode version is available for use with Microsoft Windows NT.

  53. Juke is distributed as freeware. You have permission to add it to
  54. any freeware or shareware collection. Please contact the author 
  55. if you want to use Juke for commercial purposes or if you add 
  56. it to a CD-ROM.
