  16. When Benjamin Franklin flew his kite in 1752, he wanted to 
  17. know if lightning was electricity. He risked his life to 
  18. find out that it is.  We wanted to recapture that stormy
  19. night that led to the discovery of the power source that 
  20. reshaped and improved our world in so many ways.

  22. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

  24. Philippe modelled and textured the clocktower while Kyle 
  25. made a kite, a hand (the original point of view was as seen
  26. from Franklin's eyes) and the lightning. Zeger added a tree 
  27. and a sky, but because he wasn't happy with the result, he 
  28. repositioned all the objects, added some height_fields (made
  29. in HLA), used a different tree macro(and placed more trees), 
  30. improved the kite and clocktower, and added Franklin.  Zeger
  31. began to work on this new scene-setup about 1 week before 
  32. we had to submit it.
