IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
You are sperated from the group touring the old farmhouse, as you try and find
your way back, you trip over something, you see it is a tombstone, the name is
unreadable, all that is left is the writing "But Not Forggotton, 1812". As you
look at this, pulling away the weeds to look more carefully at the memorial.
You are filled with wonder. Who lays here. Whoever it was, is simply forgotton
in time...
(ispiriation came from a Robert Bateman painting)
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
I used some old shareware paint software from '92 and created the tombstone. I
then took that heightfield, played around with it in vue, chipped bits off
using the editor, added nicks. Then I took one of the stone materials and
applied it to it, so what I got was a tombstone with bits out of it. I had to
modify the surface using a capping filter, then I had to increase the gain
quite a bit, so bits were actually missing (notice the N and the F)
I then added, dirt, sky, and plants. Ended with a nice image.
