The following is a list of changes that were made to the PGP 2.6.2i
distribution in order to make PGP 2.6.3i:
1. The compiler option -DMIT in 2.6.2i has been replaced with -DUSA. If
you compile with -DUSA you will get a version called 2.6.3, _not_
2.6.2. It is identical to 2.6.3i, except that the legal_kludge
cannot be disabled.
2. Fixed a large number of bugs:
* Fixed PGPTEMP.$00 tempfile bug for PGP -k with xxKEY.HLP
* Fixed -f passphrase lockup bug for MS-DOS
* Fixed bug when input and output filenames refer to the same file
* Text files in 8-bit character sets may now be clearsigned
* PGP will not overwrite existing .asc files without your confirmation
* If key generation fails due to write-protected keyrings, PGP will
now abort with a proper error message
* Added error messages for 'pgp -w' (wipe only) option
* Fixed a large number of other minor bugs, too many to mention here
3. Added new functionality:
* Added -kv labelling to 'pgp -kxa' output
* Added capability to automatically sign userids upon creation
* Added "Charset:" header to clearsigned messages
* Added capability to read a list of recipients from a file rather
than having to type them in on the command line (the @ option)
* Added support for more character sets (cp852, cp860 etc.)
* Added support for system-wide language.txt file
* Added a number of new LANG() conversions, enabling translators
to translate more messages
* Added -lh5- archive recognition
* Added VMS help file pgp_vms.hlp
4. Modified source code and added a number of new files in order to let
PGP compile "out of the box" on many new platforms, most notably:
* DJGPP 2.0 (32-bit MS-DOS)
* Win32 (Windows NT, Windows 95)
* Macintosh (requires additional Mac-specific files)
* IBM mainframe running MVS (using the C/370 compiler)
5. Updated all source code and documentation files for version 2.6.3i.
