  6. WordWeb is a powerful thesaurus/dictionary.
  7. It can be used from many word processors or
  8. on its own.

  10. In addition to displaying sense 
  11. definitions and synonyms, WordWeb can
  12. also find sets of related words including
  13.  
  14.   Antonyms   - Words opposite in meaning, 
  15.                e.g. bright/dull
  16.   Hypernyms  - Less specific words,
  17.                e.g. jungle/forest 
  18.   Hyponyms   - More specific words,
  19.                e.g. forest/jungle 
  20.   Meronyms   - Words which denote a part,
  21.                e.g. tree/forest
  22.   Holonyms   - Words for a collection, 
  23.                eg. forest/tree
  24.  
  25. WordWeb allows you to filter the synonyms
  26. by sense and by part of speach.
  27.  
  28. WordWeb matches case of synonyms, e.g. 
  29. search for "pulpits" and WordWeb finds 
  30. "podia", "rostra", "ambos", etc, search 
  31. for "pulpit" and you will get the singular 
  32. synonyms.
