PrcView is a freeware process viewer utility that shows comprehensive information about running processes. This information includes such details as the creation time, version and full path for each DLL used by a selected process, a list of all threads, memory blocks and heaps. PrcVIew also allows you to kill and attach a debugger to a selected process. PrcView runs on both Windows 95/98 and Windows NT platforms.
No special installation is required on Windows 95/98. Simply create a new, empty folder and place the files PRCVIEW.EXE and PRCVIEW.HLP there. For Windows NT4 you will also need a "PSAPI.DLL" which is usually located in \WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory. If you have installed the Visual Studio, Windows NT 4.0 Resource Kit or the Windows NT 4.0 SDK, this file will be already present on your computer. On the Visual Studio Visual C++ CD-ROM this file is located in the directory \DEVSTUDIO\VC\BIN\PSAPI.DLL. At the time I wrote this readme,PSAPI.DLL was also available for download from http://www.winutils.com/psapi.dll
