Do you think it's a hassle to manage digital pictures that might be scattered across hard disks, tapes, removable drives, CD-ROMs, and networks? Organize your collection with ease with Get the Picture. This 32-bit application lets you view, organize, convert, and print images naturally and easily. It's designed for MMX technology, so if you have an MMX-enabled system, you'll benefit from increased speed and power. The program supports over 40 image formats (including .bmp, .tif, .tga, .pcx, .png, .gif, .jpg, .cmp, .eps, .pct, .ras, PhotoCD, and Flashpix), so you can save, find, catalog, compress, display, convert, email, and export all from within one program. Your images can be combined with other data, sorted and retrieved, and easily shared with others through the Internet. The program automatically captures images from digital cameras, scanners, hard drives, CDs, and the Web and stores them in electronic photo albums. You can password-protect each album and personalize each image by adding text information or attaching a sound clip. Other features let you caption, size, and print your own contact sheets; take advantage of OLE drag-and-drop, flip, rotate, and zoom functions; perform tasks in batches; and perform searches using the program's powerful database engine. Although Get the Picture is loaded with features, conspicuously absent are the editing and special effects tools that would make the program a "must download." However, see what you think: Try it out for 30 days, and if you like it, get a free registration code from the developer's Web page or by calling a phone number.
