  2. KALKULATOR - README.1ST

  5. This is Kalkulator/32, a numerical utility for scientists,
  6. engineers, students and not only. It runs under Windows 95 and NT
  7. as a native, 32-bit application. (For Windows 3.1 use the
  8. 16-bit version.)
  9.  
  10. Kalkulator is copyright ⌐ 1995-98 by J. Andrzej Wrotniak. The
  11. program is marketed as shareware: you are granted a trial license
  12. to use it for 30 days. After this time you have a choice between
  13. registering the program (purchasing a permanent license, $40) or
  14. removing it from your system. Details (discounts, registration
  15. benefits etc.) can be found in the Help file. CompuServe members:

  19. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  20.  
  21. Any computer capable of running Windows 95 or NT will do.
  22. A color VGA or SVGA monitor is required. A mouse is supported
  23. but not really necessary.

  25. The program files need about 1 megabyte of disk space.

  28. INSTALLATION
  29.  
  30. Create a new directory (any name, anywhere), copy all Kalkulator
  31. files to it. Done.
  32.  
  33. The program does not require any files not supplied in the
  34. distribution archive (except, of course, the standard parts of
  35. the Windows system). It does not create or modify any files
  36. outside of its own directory.

  41. Delete the Kalkulator directory with all the files inside it.

  81. VENDINFO.DIZ - info for shareware vendors and BBS operators

  83. The last six files are not necessary for the program operation
  84. and can be safely deleted after reading (although you will
  85. probably want to keep HOWTO.TXT for future reference).

  87. If you are NOT running Japanese, Chinese or Korean Windows,
  88. you may safely delete the Far-Eastern font files (those with
  89. names ending with an "E").
  90.  
  91. If you are running one of these Far-Eastern versions, you may
  92. have to modify the line in KALKUL.INI to "FarEast=1".
  93.  
  94. Upon registration one more file will be included on your disk
  95. or sent to you via email:

  97. KALKUL.KEY - your personal registration key file, recognized by
  98. program updates; this is the file you are not supposed to
  99. distribute under terms of the license
