  6. distribute the Freeware software NoteTab Light 4.51,
  7. including an extract from the license agreement and suggested
  8. program descriptions and keywords.

  12. ------------
  13. The following paragraph is an extract from the license
  14. agreement regarding the distribution of the Freeware and trial
  15. versions of NoteTab:

  17. "Provided that you verify that you are distributing the
  18. Freeware or trial version of the SOFTWARE (you can see this
  19. information in the window title bar when you run the software:
  20. program name should be "NoteTab Light" or "NoteTab Pro
  21. trial"), you are hereby licensed to make as many copies of the
  22. Freeware/trial package of the SOFTWARE as you wish; give exact
  23. copies of the original Freeware/trial package of the SOFTWARE
  24. to anyone; and distribute the Freeware/trial package of the
  25. SOFTWARE in its unmodified form via electronic means
  26. (Internet, BBS's, Shareware distribution libraries, CD-ROMs,
  27. etc.). You may charge a distribution fee for the package, but
  28. you must not represent in any way that you are selling the
  29. software itself."

  54. NoteTab Light is an award-winning text editor packed with
  55. time-saving features. It was the first web-enabled text editor
  56. and the first of its kind to use a tabbed document interface.
  57. NoteTab Light can handle very large documents (up to a
  58. theoretical limit of 2 Gb). The program includes the original
  59. "Editor Clipbook" - a flexible tool for handling text clips;
  60. these can be anything from a single character to a large
  61. "boilerplate" chunk of text. The Clipbook is particularly
  62. popular for inserting HTML tags. NoteTab also offers a useful
  63. Outline document format that lets you organize information in
  64. a structured way. The editor lets you easily search and
  65. replace text in all open documents or disk files, and criteria
  66. can include multiple lines. Other features include support for
  67. templates, strip HTML tags, convert documents to web pages,
  68. sort/join/split/indent lines, calculate mathematical
  69. expressions, and much more.

  74. NoteTab Light is a versatile text editor and a popular Notepad
  75. replacement. It lets you open as many documents as system
  76. resources will allow, each with its own tab in the tab bar.
  77. Documents can be up to 2 Gb in size each.

  79. One of the most significant features is the Editor Clipbook --
  80. a flexible tool for handling text clips. These can be anything
  81. from a single character to a large "boilerplate" chunk of
  82. text. Clips are stored in libraries and retrieved by selecting
  83. the corresponding header from the list or by typing the first
  84. matching characters and pressing a function key. By
  85. customizing clips with simple codes you can do anything from
  86. wrapping the clip text around a selection (useful with HTML
  87. tags), to launching other programs or sending documents
  88. through MAPI e-mail, to loading documents and other file
  89. management tasks, to calculating mathematical expressions with
  90. definable variables, etc. An integrated script language turns
  91. NoteTab into a programmable editor. Thanks to this Clipbook
  92. tool, NoteTab can handle just about any text processing task.

  94. NoteTab Light offers many other useful tools. You can for
  95. example open Internet links in your browser, create outline
  96. documents, convert text files to web pages or strip tags from
  97. HTML documents, send documents as e-mail, capture text copied
  98. to the Clipboard, view detailed text statistics, calculate
  99. mathematical expressions, search/replace text in all open
  100. documents or disk files. All standard text editor features
  101. like read and write files in DOS/UNIX/Mac format, convert
  102. between ASCII and ANSI, sort/join/split/indent lines,
  103. automatic indentation, spell checker, thesaurus, etc. are also
  104. integrated.

  106. NoteTab Light is very customizable. You have a selection of
  107. more than 80 commands for the toolbar and the main shortcut
  108. menu. The editor's behavior can be fine tuned to suit your
  109. needs thanks to a large selection of options. NoteTab Light
  110. can even substitute Notepad by simply selecting a menu
  111. command.
