  7. This is the Diamond Viper V330 Series Windows 9x Display Drivers
  8. version 4.10.01.0128.
  9.  
  10. Installation Notes
  11. ------------------
  12. These drivers require DirectX 5 to support DirectDraw and Direct3D
  13. applications.

  15. It is important to note that any previous version of InControl Tools 
  16. (e.g. InControl Tools 95) must be uninstalled before installation of 
  17. InControl Tools 98 can begin. This can be done from the Control Panel by 
  18.     1.  Choosing 'Add/Remove Programs'.
  19.     2.  Select "Diamond Multimedia Product Installation & Removal".
  20.     3.  Click on the "Add/Remove" button.
  21.     4.  Then follow the uninstall process.

  27. Preparing to install the Windows 9x Driver
  28. =========================================
  29. Before installing the Viper V330 display drivers, switch your display 
  30. driver to the "Standard VGA".
  31.  
  32. 1. Open your Control Panel and select Display.  
  33. 2. Select the Settings tab and click the Change Display Type button.
  34. 3. Click the Change button.  
  35. 4. Select the Show All Devices radio button and scroll to the top of the 
  36.    left window and select Standard Display Types.  
  37. 5. In the right window select Standard Display Adapter (VGA).  Click OK.

  39. Installing the Windows 9x Driver
  40. =========================================
  41. 1.  Open the Windows Control Panel or right-click on your desktop and choose
  42.     Properties.
  43.  
  44. 2.  Click on the Settings tab.
  45.  
  46. 3.  Click the Advanced Properties... button
  47.  
  48. 4.  Click the Change... button.
  49.  
  50. 5.  Click the Have Disk... button.
  51.  
  52. 6.  In the space labeled Copy manufacturers files from, type X:\Disk3 
  53.     where X is the drive letter of where the drivers are located. 
  54.  
  55. 7.  Next click OK when you see the driver entry. 
  56.  
  57. 8.  Now select Close twice. 
  58.  
  59. 9.  "System Settings Change" dialog box will appear, select Yes to restart the
  60.     computer.

  62. 10.  Once Windows restarts, you will have successfully installed the drivers.

  66. ==========================================
  67. 1. Run install.exe from Disk1 and the setup will guide you through the install.
