  22. The HSTINTRO.DOC file was written as a result of numerous
  23. conversations I have had with other new HST users over the past
  24. 18 months.  It may help you understand more about the modem and
  25. high-speed communications in general, with emphasis on
  26. communications with bulletin board systems.
  27.  
  28. The HST20.SCR file is the HST service script.  QModem scripts
  29. are standard CR/LF-delimited ASCII files which contain the
  30. script's programming.  You may view/edit it with any suitable
  31. text editor or word processor which can save files in standard
  32. ASCII format.  The original HST script (HST15) was written with
  33. Microsoft Word, while editing on all subsequent releases was
  34. done with the Norton Editor.

  36. The HST20.DOC file contains the script's documentation.  While
  37. most of the script's menu-driven operations are
  38. self-explanatory, features implemented with release 2.0 of
  39. this script cannot be used without reading the documentation.

  41. QMSETUP.DOC contains a very quick description of the Qmodem
  42. parameters required to operate the HST modem under Qmodem SST
  43. release 4.0.
  44.  
  45. TEST20.HSF is a sample modem command file.  To find out what a
  46. modem command file is, read HST20.DOC.
  47.  
  48. WHATSNEW.20 is a summary of the fixes, changes, and new features
  49. in release 2.0 of the HST script.

  54. The HST20 Tutorials
  55. -------------------
  56. A complete series of tutorials for the HST script were developed
  57. with the ShowMaker system and are also contained in this ZIP
  58. file.  Please refer to the SHOWREAD.ME file for information on
  59. the HST20 tutorials.
