  1.                F-PROT ANTI-VIRUS PRICING/ORDERING INFORMATION

  3. Please note that the information given below only applies to the English
  4. language shareware version of the program, which is only available
  5. directly from Iceland.

  7.                                PRIVATE USE
  8.  
  9. This version of the F-PROT anti-virus program is free of charge for private
  10. use (that is, free for any individual or family using it on a personally
  11. owned computer).
  12.  
  13. Private users may obtain free updates from BBSes, via FTP or E-mail. See
  14. UPDATES.TXT for info.

  17.                               F-PROT LICENSES
  18.  
  19. The cost for a site license depends on the estimated number of computers in
  20. the company or department covered by the license. There is a minimum fee of
  21. US$20 per year.  (all prices are in US$)
  22.  
  23.                  1 - 2500     $1.00 per computer ($20 minimum)
  24.               2501 - 5000     $0.75 per computer
  25.               5001 - 7500     $0.50 per computer
  26.               7501 - 10000    $0.25 per computer
  27.              10001 and up     call for information
  28.  
  29. Example: A license for 4500 computers would be
  30.  
  31.                 2500 computers at $1.00   $2500
  32.                 2000 computers at $0.75   $1500
  33.                                          
  34.          which gives a total of $4000 per year
  35.  
  36. The customer is not expected to keep accurate count of the number of computers
  37. which the software is installed on, only to provide a reasonable estimate.

  39. If you just order a site license, we assume that you already have the
  40. program, and that you will be obtaining new versions of the program by FTP
  41. or download them from bulletin boards.  In this case, all you receive from
  42. us is just an invoice and a paper copy of the license, if requested.  If
  43. you need a diskette with the latest version, please add $20 (or $100 for a
  44. 1-year subscription).

  46.                             EDUCATIONAL DISCOUNT
  47.  
  48. There is a 25% educational discount of the license fee, although the $20
  49. minimum fee still applies.  There is no charge for the use of the program
  50. on computers personally owned by students/staff.  This discount does not
  51. apply to the subscription fee.

  54.                              OBTAINING UPDATES
  55.  
  56. There is no additional fee for updates if they are obtained from BBSes,
  57. from CompuServe, AOL or other such services, or via FTP from one of the
  58. Internet archive servers, such as oak.oakland.edu.  Please see the file
  59. UPDATES.TXT for a list of FTP distribution sites.

  61. If you cannot use any of those options, we offer a bimonthly mail-update
  62. service, for a fixed annual fee of US$100, added to the license fee.

  68. government institutions.

  79.                               METHODS OF PAYMENT
  80.  
  81. You may pay with a check (payable to Frisk Software International),
  82. international money order or a VISA/EuroCard/MasterCard/Access credit
  83. card (please specify card number, card holder's name and expiration date).  
  84. Please note that we do not accept American Express or Diners Club credit
  85. cards.

  87. Users in Europe, please note:  We accept payment by Eurochecks, but they
  88. should be either in Icelandic kronor, or your own currency - not a third
  89. currency like US dollars, as the fee we have to pay to cash the check
  90. would be $25.

  92. Users in Canada, please note: If paying by a check in US$, issued by a
  93. Canadian bank, please make sure the check states that it is payable through
  94. some US bank.  If the check is drawn on an US$ account in a Canadian bank,
  95. and no mention made of an US bank, it can only be cashed in Canada and the
  96. US - we would have to return it.

  98. Please do not send payment in the form of a US Postal Money Order - it
  99. cannot be cashed in Iceland.
