  5. + At the top of most screens is a toolbar containing various icons and
  6. - displays.

  8. + Time Icons
  9. + On the left hand side of the bar are four icons that control the flow
  10. - of time during the game.

  12. + <C5>Pause Time <C1>
  13. + The first icon is Pause. This pauses everything in the 
  14. - game apart from you.  If you pause the game you are still able to issue
  15. - orders at your leisure. When the time is started again, any orders
  16. - you issued will be 
  17. - carried out. You can also pause time by pressing the SPACE bar on the 
  18. - keyboard.

  22. * <C5>Slow, Normal and Fast Time<C1> 
  23. + The other three icons are, from left to right, Slow, Normal and Fast
  24. - time. Moving the mouse cursor over the desired icon and left clicking 
  25. - will select the speed of time. You can also change the speed of time 
  26. - by pressing 1, 2 or 3 on the keyboard.

  31. + Next to the four icons that control time is the amount of money, in
  32. + credits, your empire currently possesses.

  35. + The second figure is the date, shown in standard galactic format
  36. - (YEAR: MONTH: DAY).

  39. + Next to the date is the message bar. This displays important notices
  40. - regarding the game and notifies you of messages from other people. 
  41. - You can read - messages by moving the mouse cursor over the message 
  42. - bar then left clicking to access the message screen. Moving the mouse 
  43. - cursor over the message bar and right clicking displays the last 5 
  44. - messages you received.

  47. + Next to the message bar is the fast research icon. Move the mouse
  48. - cursor over the fast research icon then left click and hold to
  49. - display a list researchable items. Yellow items can be researched, grey
  50. - items cannot. Release the mouse button over the desired item to begin
  51. - research.

  56. + On the far right of the bar is a small icon, which is used to select the 
  57. - different screens. Move the mouse cursor over the icon then left click 
  58. - and hold to display a list of all the screens in the game that you can access.
  59. - Screens displayed as yellow can be accessed while screens displayed, as grey 
  60. - cannot. Release the mouse button over the desired screen to access it. If you 
  61. - move the mouse cursor over this  icon and right click, you will be taken to the
  62. - Starmap.
