  9. If this file was loaded by the launcher, it's because the 
  10. launcher could not find Wordpad.exe on your system.  The
  11. launcher needs to run Wordpad to be able to load the 
  12. readme (the readme is much too big to be loaded by Notepad).

  14. If you have Wordpad installed, you can load the readme
  15. file by going to your Start menu, Programs, Accessories, and
  16. choosing Wordpad.  You can then go the File menu, choose Open,
  17. and load README.DOC from the root of the Jedi Knight CD #1. You
  18. can also load README.DOC where you installed the game.

  20. If you do not have Wordpad installed, you can install Wordpad
  21. by doing the following:

  23. 1)  From your Start menu, go to Settings and choose Control
  24.     Panel.
  25. 2)  Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
  26. 3)  Click the Windows Setup tab at the top of the Add/Remove
  27.     Program Properties window.
  28. 4)  From the list of components, click the Accessories
  29.     component.
  30. 5)  Click the Details button.
  31. 6)  Scroll down in the list of components until you see
  32.     Wordpad.
  33. 7)  Check the checkbox to the left of Wordpad. 
  34. 8)  Click OK.
  35. 9)  Click OK again.
  36. 10) Windows will ask you to insert your Windows 95 CD. Insert
  37.     your Windows 95 CD and click OK.
  38. 11) If Windows can't find the Windows 95 CD, it will prompt
  39.     you to enter the path of your CD-ROM drive.  Enter in the
  40.     correct path, and Windows should now install Wordpad.
  41. 12) You should now have Wordpad installed! You can now view
  42.     the readme normally.
