- Perfect Weapon(TM) PC DEMO README
- ==============================
-
- NOTE: To keep the file size down this demo does not
- contain sound.
-
- Installation
- =-=-=-=-=-=-
- This is a no sound demo and can be used on machines without
- direct X(TM) and/or a sound card. The demo game requires
- approximately 25 Megs. The installation requires another 20
- megs as it consists of an executable which extracts to a
- temporary setup directory.
-
- Steps:
-
- - Copy the demo EXE file to your hard drive. (~11 Megs)
- You should copy the file to a unique directory as it's contents
- will be discarded after the install.
- (ie: make a c:\PWtemp directory.
- This can be done by right clicking on the c: drive using
- your Explorer or My Computer utilities. Then select
- new->folder from the pulldown menu supplied by the utility. )
-
- - Double click on the demo file (in the temporary directory) and it will
- extract into the setup files that you need to install the demo.
- If a black console window is left after the extraction process, you can
- close it.
- This will depend on your system settings and may not be necessary.
-
- - The final step is to double click on the setup.exe file which is created
- from the demo extraction. When the install asks you where you would like
- to install the game to, specify a location other than the temp directory
- which you copyied the original files to. (ie: The defaults are fine)
-
- - You may erase the temporary directory (~20 Megs) from your hard drive
- after the install.
-
- - The game is entered into your start menu (as is an uninstall program).
-
- Notes:
- - (Installation can require only 10 Megs if you delete the demo.exe after
- it extracts into the proper setup files)
-
-
