TEMPEST 2000 DEMO VERSION
PC GAMER JANUARY 1996
===========================
Tempest 2000 is the definative arcade shoot-em-up, new from Atari. With superb
gameplay this really has to be played.
If you run the demo from the CD, you will hear no sound. To experience the full
game, you must install it to your hard drive. Once you have done this, exit this
menu, and change to the directory you installed it to.
The installed version of the game must be configured to use your sound hardware.
To do this, type config<enter> at the DOS prompt, and follow the instructions.
Music will run on any Roland or SoundBlaster/Adlib compatible soundcard. Sound
effects require a SoundBlaster or compatible card. CONFIG will also allow you
to select an input method.
Then to run the demo, type tempest, and press enter.
ADDED BONUS FEATURE: If you set up Tempest 2000 (using the config program) to
play CD music, and leave this CD-ROM in your drive, you can listen to the original
Tempest 2000 music, while you play. Alternatively, you can place your favourite
CD, such as " Manilow, Greatest Hits - The Platinum Collection " in your CD ROM
drive, and Tempest 2000 will automatically delight you by playing Track 2: Bermuda
Triangle, throughout the game. %-)
