  21.  The following instructions show you how to manually install the
  22.  game. Alternatively run INSTALL from the floppy disk.
  23.  
  24.  In preparing the following I have made several assumptions.
  25.  1. The DOS directory is in the most common place (C:\DOS).
  26.  2. You have a little knowledge of DOS directories and files.
  27.  3. You know to press ENTER after every command
  28.  
  29.  Hopefully the setup procedure should be quite painless. If you are
  30.  familiar with loading and setting up games you will know what to
  31.  do after reading the System Requirements page.
  32.  
  33.  Please note this is only the first level of the full game.

  36.  System Requirements : MS.DOS 5 or above.
  37.                        Will work on a 386 but is best
  38.                        on a 486
  39.                        Color VGA graphics.
  40.                        515k Conventional memory.
  41.                        Over 2 MB of hard drive space.
  42.                        SoundBlaster compatible card (optional).
  43.                        Must be run from the hard drive.
  44.                        Will not run under Windows.

  46.   You can choose to set up sound from the game menu. If your card
  47.   is not recognised it will be ignored. The game  will still play
  48.   as normal. The full game will need over 3MB of hard drive space.
  49.  
  50.   CLAW must be run from the hard drive.
  51.   To Manually Install. ------  It would be a good idea
  52.   to create a separate directory, we'll call it CLAWDEMO
  53.   for this explanation.
  54.   Assuming you will put it on drive C: type :-

  56.                MKDIR C:\CLAWDEMO
  57.  
  58.   Now enter the directory by typing :-
  59.                C:
  60.                CD C:\CLAWDEMO
  61.  
  62.   Assuming the floppy disk is in drive A:  To copy the files
  63.   over to the hard drive type :-

  68.  To start the game type :-

  72.  You can follow the instructions from the first screen as to
  73.  if you want to see the intro screens or go straight to the
  74.  game menu.
  75.  To use the game menu use the directional arrows and the
  76.  enter keys.

  79.  The HELP option from the  game menu tells you how
  80.  to play the game.

  82.     Memory Problems : The game needs 515K of conventional memory
  83.     to run. If you are having problems running please try
  84.     the following possible fix.

  86.  1. If you are confident enough to change your CONFIG.SYS file put
  87.     the following lines at the top (if not there already):-

  89.                DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS
  90.                DOS=HIGH,UMB
  91.  
  92.      Again this is assuming that the DOS directory
  93.      is on drive C: i.e. C:\DOS
  94.      If you want to use your sound card it should
  95.      be loaded as normal.

  99.    This is a SHAREWARE/DEMO version which you are free to use as much
  100.    as you like. I hope you enjoy it. This is only the start of the full
