  1. How To Use This Patch
  2. ---------------------
  3.  
  4.         1. First put the disk in your A: drive and copy the PSPATCH.ZIP
  5.            file into your Pacific Strike directory. You should type,
  6.            from the A: drive, "COPY PSPATCH.ZIP C:\<DIRECTORY>".
  7.         
  8.         2. Once you have copied it to the Pacific Strike directory,
  9.            then change into your Pacific Strike directory and type: 
  10.                          "PKUNZIP PSPATCH.ZIP"
  11.            This will unzip the files needed to patch the game.
  12.  
  13.         3. Type "PATCH" from the Pacific Strike directory and
  14.            it will start the utility which will make changes to your
  15.            PACIFIC.DAT and PACIFIC.EXE files. This will take about 5
  16.            minutes. Once the patch is done, your game will now be
  17.            updated to version F1.19.  Type "PACIFIC" to start
  18.            start the game.

  21. What This Patch Does
  22. --------------------

  24. This patch fixes these 9 things:
  25.  
  26.         1. The Thrustmaster cooley hat will now allow you to pan in
  27.            the cockpit.
  28.  
  29.         2. Endgame 1 lock-up at the first action sphere after
  30.            destroying Tojo when using F6 view for the first wave of
  31.            3 Franks does not occur anymore.
  32.  
  33.         3. Instant Missions-The "Attack Carrier" objective has been
  34.            removed from the Claude selection option.  
  35.  
  36.         4. The dive bombing artificial intelligence of the Japanese and the
  37.            Americans has been changed to increase accuracy of all planes.
  38.  
  39.         5. You will hear no gun firings when you run out of bullets.
  40.  
  41.         6. Minor enhancements have been made to improve the frame rate
  42.            when flying over land.
  43.  
  44.         7. Gun convergence has been implemented, making it easier
  45.            to obtain hits at different ranges.
  46.  
  47.         8. Now, depending on what level you selected: Ace: Veteran, Rookie
  48.            the weapon effect has been further adjusted to skill/realism
  49.            level.

  51.         9. The F3 key now looks out left, F4 looks out right.
