  4.   MegaCAD supports two types of handshake :

  6.   - Software Handshake  XON/XOFF
  7.   - Hardware Handshake  control lines

  14.   If you want to use the XON/XOFF protocol, enter 7 as the handshake
  15.   line.

  17.   On HPGL compatible plotters, the plotter can be set to use XON/XOFF by
  18.   software, all other plotters must be set to use the XON/XOFF protocol
  19.   on the hardware (dip switches).

  21.   The plotter cable must be wired in the following way to use XON/XOFF
  22.   protocol :

  41.   When using hardware handshake, the plotter reflects its current state
  42.   on the line 20(DTR) or 4(RTS) or both, as to whether it is ready to
  43.   accept new data or not. It is a good idea to check the plotter manual
  44.   first to see which line it uses for this purpose. Usually it is line
  45.   20(DTR).

  47.   Enter a 5 or a 6 at installation time for hardware handshake to
  48.   specify which line is used on the COMPUTER side.

  51.      The line used for handshake on the plotter side (DTR or RTS) must be
  52.      connected to line 5 or 6 respectively on the computer side :
