  6. About the DOS only Installation
  7.  
  8. This archive contains a DOS only installation of the SciTech Display Doctor
  9. package and contains all of the necessary DOS based utilities and and
  10. drivers to get you going. If you have Windows 3.1, Windows '95, Windows NT
  11. or WinOS2 installed on your machine, please download the full SciTech Display
  12. Doctor Package and install it from within Windows.

  14. Because this package is provided as a covenience to our users who do not
  15. have a version of Windows installed on their machines, we have not provided
  16. any documentation in this package. For full documentation on the product
  17. please refer to the full Windows based package, or you can order a printed
  18. manual when you register the product.

  21. About SciTech Display Doctor
  22.  
  23. SciTech Display Doctor is a collection of useful utilities that fix many
  24. common problems associated with Super VGA (SVGA) graphics cards. SciTech
  25. Display Doctor contains a number of separate components that make up the
  26. entire package. Many users may already be familiar with UniVBE, the
  27. Universal VESA BIOS Extension. UniVBE is now one of the many components
  28. that make up the entire SciTech Display Doctor suite of utilities.

  30. SciTech Display Doctor updates your graphics card to the latest standards
  31. so you can be sure programs will work correctly and will run as fast as
  32. possible on your system. Many popular games like The 11th Hour, Quake and
  33. Duke Nukem 3D rely on the latest VESA graphics standards in order to obtain
  34. the highest performance possible.
