  76. features, along with instructions for its installation.  Quite detailed

  84. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  85. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see gamehelp.DOC for more

  88. ORDER.TXT for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others

  109. The installation procedure for ORBOTS is quite simple.  The
  110. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  111. entire process.  You will need about 2 meg of available disk space
  112. on the hard drive on which you plan to install ORBOTS.
  113.  
  114. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  115. ORBOTS the Game.
  116.  
  117.  
  118. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  119.  
  120. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  121.  
  122.    o  Place ORBOTS distribution diskette "Disk 1" in the
  123.       appropriate diskette drive.
  124.  
  125.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  126.       For example, if the distribution diskette is on drive A:, type
  127.       the MS-DOS command, "a:install".
  128.  
  129.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  130.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  131.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  132.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  133.       the game files to that directory.
  134.       It will make no other changes;  specifically, it will not
  135.       modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  138. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  139.  
  140. If you downloaded ORBOTS from a BBS (or received it in the form of
  141. archive files from some other source), you will need to perform the
  142. following steps.

  144.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  145.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  146.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  147.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  148.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  149.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  150.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  151.       the package.

  154.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted

  173. Once you've complete the installation, you should consult the document
  174. gamehelp.doc, which has been installed. That document will tell you how
  175. to setup the program, and will give you other information you need to
  176. properly evaluate ORBOTS.  We hope you enjoy the game.

  178. To remove the game, simply delete all files from the ORBOTS the Game
  179. directory.
