  3. The Registry is one of the most important parts of Windows 95.
  4. If something happens to the Registry you have problems.
  5. The Registry controls almost every aspect of Windows 95. 
  6. It tells it how its supposed to look and how to react to programs
  7. and files plus more.
  8.  
  9. Registoy was made out of necessity, I got tired of installing programs 
  10. in Win95 and have them associate files to the newly installed program 
  11. such as jpg, gif, ect.. And when I uninstalled the program because 
  12. I didn't like it or it wasn't a good program it still had the associations 
  13. to that program.
  14.  
  15. Thats when I set down and wrote Registoy.
  16. It backs up the registry files and allows you to restore them at will.
  17. It also will let you restore your Win95 system to its
  18. original condition ( your first inital boot up to Windows 95) without
  19. reinstalling the complete Windows95 software.

  21. Registoy has saved me a lot of headaches since I first wrote it 
  22. and I'am sure sooner or later it will you too.
  23. Registoy is a clean utility, in other words it does not add to your 
  24. Registry, ini files, or system files such as the config.sys file
  25. or autoexec.bat. Matter of fact I left it up to the user to put
  26. Registoy on thier desktop and to manually install the fonts included
  27. with Registoy.
  28. (The fonts will be in the directory that you installed Registoy.
  29. All you have to do is copy them to your Fonts directory in Windows.)
  30.  
  31. Feel free to use Registoy for as long as you like it has no nag screens
  32. nor is it crippled ware.
  33. But if you like Registoy and would like the rest of the OfficeToy Collection
  34. such as ClearDoc,Security and Shutdown 
  35. ( Information on these can be found in the info section under OfficeToys 
  36. in the program )and if you would like to have updates to these programs 
  37. when availiable.
