  4. PROGRAM PURPOSE
  5. ---------------
  6. SendM@ail allows you to send mail using a single click on
  7. the taskbar. You need only your SMTP Server name to configure 
  8. SendM@ail. Also allows text files and MIME attachments to be 
  9. sent from the command prompt.

  11. REQUIREMENTS
  12. ------------
  13. Windows 95 or Windows NT.
  14. Access to an SMTP Server

  17. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  18. -------------------------
  19. Unzip the zip archive file into an empty directory and
  20. type - 
  21.  
  22. sendm32
  23.  
  24. You should see an About dialog, and click the OK button.
  25. Another dialog box requesting the name of your SMTP Server 
  26. and its port will be shown. Enter them and click OK. 
  27. If you don't know them ask your ISP or Network 
  28. Administrator or check your existing EMail program.
  29.  
  30. The From Details Dialog will appear, enter your own
  31. email address (this is where any replies you get will
  32. go to).  You can also enter a 'signature' - this will be 
  33. sent at the end of every message.
  34.  
  35. Now you're ready to Send mail. Double click on the SendM@ail
  36. tray icon and enter the recipients email address and the text
  37. of the mail you want to send and click the Send button.
  38.  
  39. To send mail from the prompt (command line), create a text 
  40. file (eg called 'filename.txt'), put the recipients names on 
  41. the first line (seperated by commas or spaces) after 'To:' and 
  42. start the message on the second line. Save the file and then 
  43. from the command line type -

  45. sendm32 filename.txt
  46.

  62. If you no longer wish to use SendM@ail after the evaluation
  63. period has expired, please mail us and tell us why. If there's
  64. any improvements that would make you reconsider let us know.

  70. To uninstall SendM@ail delete the entire contents of the
  71. directory you installed it in, and remove the directory.
