Install.exe is a self extracting installation program. For further
instructions on how to install WebMaster Gold see below.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
-------------------------------------
386 processor or better
4 Meg RAM (8 meg Recommended)
6 Meg Disk Space
Microsoft Compatible Mouse
SVGA Monitor
Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later
INSTALLATION
-----------------------------
PLEAE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
After installation of WebMaster Gold, please make sure you observe the
following...
WebMaster Gold installs the files - Wbmast.dll, Wbm3d.dll and Wbapi.dll
to your Windows System directory and installs a separate copy of each
file to the WebMaster Gold program directory.
(Do not move these files from the WebMaster Gold program directory.
WebMaster Gold requires a copy of these in both the program directory and
the Windows System directory.) All other files MUST remain in the
WebMaster program directory.
ALL VBX FILES MUST REMAIN IN THE WEBMASTER GOLD PROGRAM DIRECTORY!
(Do not move these files from the WebMaster Gold program directory.)
LEAVE VBRUN300.DLL in the WebMaster Gold program directory. WebMaster Gold
needs this earlier version to function correctly.
Running the Installation program
--------------------------------
FROM FILE MANAGER OR THE WIN95 START MENU:
1) From File Manager, Choose the File Menu, Press the R key for Run.
Or from the Start Menu Open the Run Box.
2) In the run box type in the path you are installing from.
e.g. C:\TEMP or A:\ B:\
3) Then type install. It should read C:\TEMP\Install or
A:\Install or B:\Install.
4) Then press the enter key.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
You will be prompted for a destination Directory. This is the directory
where you would like the program installed to. Type in a directory name
of your choice. e.g. Your selected drive followed by a directory name
(C:\WBM_GOLD). The default is C:\WBM_GOLD, you may choose
any directory name you like.
To Start WebMaster..
After the installation is complete do the following...
1) Open the WebMaster Gold Program group (WebMaster Gold Folder in Win 95).
2) Double click on the WebMaster Gold program icon.
3) Context sensitive help is available from within WebMaster. Or you can
double click on the help icon in your WebMaster Gold Folder.
UPGRADING FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION OF WEBMASTER (Not Gold)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You may wish to install WebMaster Gold to a different directory than your
current Version. However, you can install WebMaster Gold over the top
of an existing version of WebMaster.
If you expereience any problems after installation, uninstall WebMaster
Gold and re-install from scratch.
WebMaster Gold 1.0 uses a new version of the uninstaller. If you choose
to install to over an existing version of WebMaster (Not Gold), the
previous uninstaller needs to be deleted manually. Delete the files
"uninstal.exe" and "filog.ini" from the Webmaster program directory.
NOTE:
If you are upgrading from a previous version, you will need to contact
V-Tech Software to obtain new registration details for the current version.
