  5. This file contains important license information regarding the use of
  6. Software Inventory for Windows 1.4.
  7.  
  8. All references to "the author" refer to myself, Daniel M. Rose.
  9. All references to "software" or "program" will refer to Software Inventory
  10. for Windows 1.4.
  11.  
  12. TRIAL USE LICENSE:
  13. You are hereby granted a limited license to use this software for an
  14. evaluation period not to exceed thirty (30) days.  If you continue using
  15. this software after thirty (30) days you must register the program by
  16. sending a registration form with payment to the author.
  17.  
  18. Using this software after the thirty (30) day evaluation period, without
  19. registering it with the author, is a violation of the terms of this limited
  20. license.
  21.  
  22. Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
  23. disassemble, reverse engineer, or transfer the licensed program except as
  24. provided in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall result in
  25. immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  27. LIMITED DISTRIBUTION LICENSE:
  28. Individuals are hereby granted permission by the author to copy this
  29. software for their own evaluation or for other individuals to evaluate ONLY
  30. when the following conditions are met:

  32. The software package is defined as containing all the material listed in
  33. the PACKING.EXE file.  If any files, or PACKING.EXE itself, are missing,
  34. the package is not complete and distribution is forbidden.

  36. The software package - including all related program and documentation
  37. files - CANNOT be modified in any way and must be distributed as a complete
  38. package, without exception.

  40. No price or other compensation may be charged for the software package.  A
  41. distribution cost may be charged for the cost of the media and shipping and
  42. handling as long as the total does not exceed US $8.00.

  44. The software package MAY be distributed as part of another inclusive package,
  45. or included in any commercial software packaging offer, without a written
  46. agreement from the author.

  48. U.S. Government Information:  Use, duplication, or the computer software
  49. and documentation in this package shall be subject to the restricted
  50. rights applicable to commercial computer software as set forth in subdivision
  51. (b)(3)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  52. 252.227-7013 (DFARS 52.227-7013).  The Contractor/manufacturer is Daniel M.

  56. Shareware distribution of this software is permitted outside the United
  57. States of America.
