  42. The system requirements for SLIM SHOW 2.1, or running projects made by it:

  44. * IBM PC or compatible computer with a 386 or higher processor.
  45. * 10 MB of free hard disk space. (note *1)
  46. * Microsoft Windows 3.1x or Windows 95.
  47. * Sound card with Windows drivers. (note *2)

  52. Note *2:  When a project runs on a PC without a sound card, the project still 
  53.           runs with text and graphic showing, but does not play sound.

  58. Run "setup.exe" from Windows and follow the instructions.

  62. ----------------------------------- TO RUN -----------------------------------
  63. A "SLIM SHOW 2.1" icon will be created in the "Slim Show" program group by the
  64. Setup program.   Follow regular Windows procedures to run the program.  It is
  65. recommended that you run the included demo project if you are using the Slim 
  66. Show program for the first time.

  70. -------------------------------- TO UNINSTALL --------------------------------
  71. The setup program in SLIM SHOW can uninstall the SLIM SHOW from your system 
  72. for you.  To insure all the components will be removed properly, please follow 
  73. these steps:

  75. 1. Make sure the SLIM SHOW program and the Dictionary Editor program are not 
  76.    running.
  77. 2. Run the Uninstall program from the SLIM SHOW program group and follow the
  78.    instructions to complete the uninstallation.
  79.  
  80. Note: The uninstaller is not allowed to remove files created by you, such as 
  81. newly created projects or materials.  If you have these files in the directory
  82. where the SLIM SHOW program resides, the uninstaller will remove the other 
  83. files but leave the user-created files untouched.

  88. * Interactive Multimedia Maker for Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.
  89. * Eighteen built-in transition styles for graphics, together with the 
  90.   combinations of blanking out and resizing. The transition speed can be set 
  91.   dynamically. (Rev. 2.1 new feature) Other visual effects can be produced by 
  92.   arranging scenes externally. Supports BMP, JPEG, and SBM (compressed bitmap)
