  34.    To run the 32-bit Communicator, you MUST have a 32-bit TCP/IP stack.
  35.    Both Windows 95 and Windows NT provide built-in 32-bit TCP/IP
  36.    stacks that you can set up.  You can also get (32-bit) TCP/IP
  37.    software from third-party vendors like Trumpet Software,
  38.    and Ftp Software.

  40.    To obtain a copy of Netscape Communicator, download one of the
  41.    self-extracting executable files into a temporary directory.

  72. * Windows 95 users, if you are using any versions prior to this
  73.   release, you will get multiple uninstall entries in your
  74.   Add/Remove program.  If you prefer not having multiple
  75.   entries, you should do an uninstall to remove your previous
  76.   version of Communicator before you install the new release.

  78. * The Netscape Audio Plug-in will only work if you have a sound
  79.   card installed and configured properly.  It will not work
  80.   with the PC speaker driver. Please check your sound card manual
  81.   to configure the sound card.

  83. * If you had previously installed CoolTalk Watchdog, then you must
  84.   uninstall the version you have and reboot your machine before
  85.   installing the latest version.  You might experience some
  86.   problems running Cooltalk with Matrox MGA Millennium graphic 
  87.   adapters using early Windows 95 drivers. Make sure that you are 
  88.   running version 2.22.039 or later.

  90. * If you have deinstalled an earlier version of Communicator, reboot
  91.   your system before installing another copy of Communicator. Files
  92.   might exist that cannot be deleted until your system is rebooted.

  101. What do I need to run Netscape Communicator?

  104. There are three requirements for Netscape Communicator:

  106.     1. A direct Ethernet connection to the net, or a dialup
  107.        SLIP or PPP account from an Internet service provider.
  108.  
  109.     2. TCP/IP stack
  110.  
  111.     3. Netscape Communicator software
  112.  
  113. You can get a direct connection to the Internet through a service
  114. provider in your area.  You will need to get a SLIP or a PPP
  115. account from an Internet provider (for a dialup account).

  123. The Netscape installer will overwrite existing OLE2 DLLs with the
  124. latest versions for US Windows. This will not affect 32-bit
  125. Windows. Occasionally, the Japanese user may see an English
  126. language OLE2 error message after installing Netscape Communicator.
  127. Currently, there are no Japanese versions available for the OLE2 DLLs.
