Win Play It! 1.5
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Homepage: www.islandnet.com/~specter/
Description:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Win Play It! is an accessory to the popular MP3 Player WINAMP(c). With
Win Play It! you can easily organize your MP3 files and select which
songs to play by either group name or song name. Win Play It! Features a
familliar interface and is extremely easy to use.
How to use Win Play It:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Make sure that your MP3 files have filenames that are in the following
format states: (artist) - song.mp3 OR artist - song.mp3.
For instance: The artists - the song.mp3. You can have punctuation int the
artists name as long as it is not a dash (-) and the spelling and word
spacing has to be consistent.
Make sure you place Win Play It! in the directory where you keep all of your
MP3s and that's it (if you have MP3s dispersed on your hard drive see options).
When you run Win Play It! all of your songs will be listed, simply select the
songs that you would like to hear and click on the right single arrow to
add them to your playlist. When you have all the songs/artists you like,
hit the Play It! button. You can also drag and drop MP3 Files back and forth
between lists.
You may also Add MP3 files to your master list by dragging them from Explorer
to WinPlay it!
Printing
~~~~~~~~
You can print a listing of all your MP3 files easily by pressing the include all
button (>>) and then right clicking the list and selecting the print option.
This will print all of your mp3s in a numbered 2 column table.
Remember, everything in the playlist get printed not everything in the masterlist,
that is why we added all to the playlist in the above example.
MP3 Tags
~~~~~~~~
Some Mp3 Files have tags associated with them stating information such as
song title, artist, album, genre, and a place for comments. Win Play It Can
read and write these tags. To view a files tag, move it to the play list
list by either drag and drop or selecting it and hiting the include button
(>). In the playlist, highlight the song(s) you would like to view/edit and
rightclick. Choose the edit tags option to view only those you have selected,
or the Edit All tags to edit all files found in the playlist.
You can iterate between the files you have selected by clicking on the spin
button on the top right.
Edit Tags Only the files that you highlight in the playlist before you
~~~~~~~~~ rightclick will be available for editing.
Edit All Tags Will allow you to edit all the files in the playlist list.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Note The No tag Checkbox gets checked if there is there is no tag
~~~~ associated with the current file. Win Play it fills in some
preliminary info, but it will not be saved until you select save.
If the text boxes and save button are grayed, the file is a readonly file that
cannot be written to (typically those found on CD ROM). You may view these
but not alter them.
When you have done altering a particular tag, hit save to commit your changes.
Save only saves the current tag that you were working on. Therefore to save
all of the tags, you must go through the list hitting save.
