  6. FastScan - The one of the fastest virus scanners available today. 
  7. FastScan scans for all kinds of viruses like macro, boot, partition,
  8. file, stealth and polymorphic viruses. FastScan is a singel executable
  9. runs in both Windows & DOS.

  28. INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
  29. ------------------------
  30. Under Windows:
  31. -------------
  32.    Run Setup.exe in program manager RUN command or   Run Setup in Dos.
  33.    Setup is Windows full installation utility. Setup program will copy 
  34.    all the necessary files to destination directory. Setup will 
  35.    create FastScan Icons in Program manager Window.

  37.    Supports Command Line execution under windows...

  39.    FSCAN.EXE <file/directory>

  42. Under DOS:
  43. ----------
  44.    Run FSCAN.EXE in DOS prompt directly.
  45.    Syntax:     FSCAN <Drive Name> < -e [-a] >

  47.    The switch -e stands for scan only executables. Switch -a is 
  48.    default switch stands for scan all files.
  49.  
  50. SCANNING METHODS:
  51. ------------------

  53.    Make a copy of bootable floppy and copy all Fastscan files
  54.    to that floppy. This will be helpful when your system boot
  55.    sector or partition table infected, you can boot your system
  56.    with that floppy and you scan for virus in <A> prompt using
  57.    FSCAN.

  59. 1. Under DOS Run FSCAN.exe
  60.  
  61. 2. Under windows, Click Fastscan icon and select appropriate 
  62.    drive and click <scan> button.
