  2. This is the solaris x86 port of hotjava alpha1.03  
  3.  
  4. 1. To use the solaris-x86 version of hotjava execute the
  5.    following commands.
  6.  
  7. 2. get the  sparc version of hotjava.
  8.  
  9. 3. copy the hotjava.solaris.x86.tar file into where you installed
  10.    the sparc version of hotjava. (This will be same directory
  11.    as what the variable HOTJAVA_HOME is set to).
  12.  
  13. 4. extract the file from the tar file, this will not delete
  14.    any of the existing files in your HOTJAVA_HOME, but add 
  15.    some more x86 specific files to it, specifically
  16.  
  17.    - it will create a lib.x86 directory
  18.    - copy java.x86 into your $HOTJAVA_HOME/bin directory
  19.    - copy hotjava.x86 into your $HOTJAVA_HOME/bin directory
  20.  
  21. 5. execute hotjava.x86 (intstead of hotjava) to run hotjava in
  22.    x86 environment.
  23.  
  24. This port was done by xmedia corporation for Sun Catalyst
  25. CDware. You can also find a copy of this version of hotjava
  26. in the Dec/1995 release of x86 version of Sun Catalyst CDware.
