  2. - ABOUT DELTA 2.3                      -
  3. ----------------------------------------
  4. Delta allows you to save information about your disk and then compare the
  5. differences that may have occured over time.  A typical application would
  6. involve Windows installation software, where you would save your disk's
  7. information before and after the installation, and then compare and check for
  8. differences.  Delta also allows you to save information contained in text and
  9. Windows initialization files and then check for differences.  Typical files
  10. would include: AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS, WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI, etc.  Other uses
  11. would include simply monitoring changes to your drive over time.  This is
  12. especially useful in a work environment where multiple people may use the
  13. same system.  This will allow you to unclutter that bogus stuff people leave
  14. on your disk and reset your configurations.

  17. - INSTALLATION                         -
  18. ----------------------------------------
  19. 1.  Copy BWCC.DLL to your Windows system directory if you do not
  20.     already have a copy or it is out of date
  21.     (ie: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\BWCC.DLL)
  22. 2.  Copy COMMDLG.DLL to your Windows system directory if you do
  23.     not already have a copy or it is out of date
  24.     (ie: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\COMMDLG.DLL)
  25. 3.  Create a DELTA directory (ie.: C:\DELTA)
  26. 4.  Copy DELTA.INI to your DELTA directory (ie.: C:\DELTA\DELTA.INI)
  27. 5.  Copy DELTA.EXE to your DELTA directory (ie.: C:\DELTA\DELTA.EXE)
  28. 6.  Copy DELTA.HLP to your DELTA directory (ie.: C:\DELTA\DELTA.HLP)
  29. 7.  Copy LZMAV.DLL to your DELTA directory (ie.: C:\DELTA\LZMAV.DLL)

  31. NOTE:  DELTA.EXE and DELTA.HLP can be located anywhere on
  32.        your drive.  The only requirement is to have both of
  33.        these files in the same directory.

  35. NOTE:  You may elect to copy LZMAV.DLL to your Windows' System directory.
  36.        (ie.: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\LZMAV.DLL)

  38. NOTE:  I recommend invoking DELTA.EXE and clicking on Help
  39.        to view the section syntax for DELTA.INI before you
  40.        actually use Delta.

  79. Delta is not distributed via the public domain or freeware systems.  Delta is
  80. distributed using the shareware system.

  82. Anybody may freely redistribute Delta provided the following files are
  83. included and not modified.

  91. Delta may be used freely for evaluation purposes for up to two weeks.  If you
