  1. Wave after Wave 1.5 for Windows is a shareware program to play wave files. 
  2. Wave after Wave 1.5 requires Windows 3.1 and a sound driver. It's written
  3. in Turbo Pascal for Windows for anyone who is interested.
  4.  
  5. NOTE: Wave After Wave was previously called WAVER.  
  6.  
  7. For best results copy the files in WavAWav.Zip into your Windows
  8. directory, or wherever you keep most of your .WAV files.  Use
  9. the Program Manager FILE|NEW menu command and choose Program Item to 
  10. create an icon for WavAWav.EXE.

  12. I got tired of doing the FILE|OPEN thing, over and over every time I 
  13. downloaded more wave files.  Now I have a directory called NewWave 
  14. where I put all the new wave files that I've downloaded.  Then I 
  15. run Wave after Wave and press the AUTO PLAY Button that plays all the wave 
  16. files in the selected directory starting at the top or at the 
  17. currently selected file.  You can play individual wave files by
  18. pressing the PLAY button or by double clicking on the file name in the list
  19. box.

  21. Wave after Wave 1.5 also supports Windows 3.1's drag and drop features.  
  22. You can drag wave files from the File Manager onto Wave after Wave's 
  23. running icon or window and they will be played.

  25. You may also want to associate the ".WAV" file extension with WavAWav.EXE.
  26. Then when you double click on .WAV files in the File Manager Wave after
  27. Wave will automatically play that sound.  See your Windows manuals for 
  28. help on associating file extensions or on-line help.

  30. You may distribute this program however you like, as long as you don't 
  31. make any money from it or change it in anyway.  This file MUST accompany
  32. the program file.

  35.         F E A T U R E S  AND  O P T I O N S
  36.  
  37. Change Directory Button Changes the current directory and fills the list box
  38.             with all wave files from the current directory.
  39.  
  40. Play Button        Plays a single wave file
  41.  
  42. Auto Play Button    Plays wave files one after another starting at
  43.             the selected file or the top of the list if no file
  44.             is selected.
  45.  
  46. Delete Button        Deletes the selected wave file.
  47.  
  48. Recorder Button        Brings up your favorite sound recorder with the
  49.             selected wave file, if the recorder supports command
  50.             line file openings.
  51.  
  52. Show Option        When checked, this option displays the Wave After 
  53.             Wave window when double-clicking on a wave file in 
  54.             the File Manager(provided you've associated ".WAV"
  55.             with Wave After Wave).

  57. Loop Option        When checked, and the Auto Play button is pressed,
  58.             Auto Play will continue to play and start over at 
  59.             the top of the list after playing the last wave 
  60.             file in the list.

  62. Choose Recorder        Lets you choose the sound recorder that will be 
  63.             activated when you press the Recorder Button
  64.             described above.

  67. Help Contents Menu    Brings up the on-line help system which goes into
  68.             more detail than the above descriptions.
