With the Measure Data Acquisition (DAQ) Add-in, you can acquire analog signals and place them directly into your Excel spreadsheets. With the DAQ Add-in, you can measure low-speed signals such as temperature, pressure, or strain, and high-speed waveforms within the Excel environment. The acquired data is placed directly into the cells that you specify in your worksheet -- no complicated conversion algorithms or programming is required.
Click on the arrow button to learn more about the Measure DAQ Add-in.

From this dialog box, you can specify parameters for controlling an analog input operation. You can select the input channels, number of points, acquisition rate, and location on your worksheet to place the acquired data. Start by specifying which analog input channels you want to include in your acquisition. You can include multiple channels in your analog input task.
For this example, we will acquire data from channel 1. You can also set the input limits for the data to be acquired. Measure automatically selects a gain setting for your DAQ board based on these expected signal limits.
Click on the Add button to add channel 1 to your channel list.

Your Scan Information setting specifies how many points are acquired from the channels in your channel list. A scan represents a single datapoint from each channel in your channel list. For this example, because you have selected only one channel in your channel list, the number of scans is equal to the number of total datapoints to be acquired.
Click on the arrow button to set the Number of Scans to 100.

New data values have been acquired and displayed in column A. Notice that the Excel macro is still active -- the new datapoints were automatically plotted on the chart.
With Measure, you can configure analog I/O operations with simple, easy-to-use dialog boxes. Your data is automatically placed in the worksheet cells that you specify -- with no programming or conversion algorithms required. You are then free to use the powerful Excel analysis and report generation tools with your data to complete your work.
Click on the arrow button to complete this module.
