  1.                         The Sukhoi Su-27 Flanker

  4. To Install the program, run INSTALL.EXE.
  5.  
  6. To play the Su-27 Flanker demo, run SU27.EXE. 
  7.  
  8. The program will start as a self-running demonstration of a mission that 
  9. has already been recorded.  You can either watch the entire mission as 
  10. recorded or you can enter the cockpit at anytime and take control. If 
  11. you choose to fly the mission yourself, be aware that for this demo you 
  12. will only have about 10 minutes of fuel.  Of course the commercial 
  13. release of this product will provide the user with more fuel for 
  14. missions.  If your aircraft should be destroyed the demo will continue 
  15. to run allowing you to view the other aircraft as they fly their 
  16. missions.

  18. If you press the Esc key while the demo is in progress, a message will 
  19. appear asking you to press:
  20.  
  21.         Esc - to resume the demo
  22.         C   - to continue flying and fighting on your own
  23.         X   - to bail out
  24.  
  25. You can also switch views while the demo is playing the recorded mission 
  26. using the view command keys listed in the CONTROLS.TXT file. Once you 
  27. have used the view keys the recorded views will no longer take place and 
  28. the demo will be seen from whatever view you select.

  30. When an aircraft, ground target, or missile explodes while you are 
  31. using an external view, the simulation will zoom out to give the 
  32. explosion more perspective.  You will need to zoom back to view aircraft 
  33. and other objects in more detail following one of these automatic zooms.  
  34. You can control the zoom for external views by using the * key on the 
  35. keypad to zoom in and the / key on the keypad to zoom out.

  37. To quit the demo at anytime use ALT+Q.  To pause the demo hit the S key.

  39. This demo automatically initializes the joystick, if any. However, only 
  40. two buttons will be enabled on the joystick, regardless of its type. 
  41. These are the trigger (fire button) and the weapons selection button 
  42. (the top button), if any.  While this simulation can be flown using 
  43. only the keyboard, a joystick is highly recommended.

  45. You may or may not hear sound effects with this demo.  The sound drivers 
  46. used are limited in this early demo version and may not work properly with 
  47. some soundcards or soundcard settings.  The default for this simulation is 
  48. Soundblaster 16 or AWE set to 220, 5, 1.

  53. Control System Mark II.
