  11. Effective June 1, 1997

  13. The use of FileNotes Evaluation Copy is subject to the following
  14. terms and conditions:

  16. FileNotes is copyrighted material. It is protected by the
  17. copyright laws of the United States, the State of Texas, and other
  18. proprietary rights of Jay Mosier. You may not make any changes or
  19. modifications to any of the FileNotes executable binary files.
  20.  
  21. You may make copies of FileNotes only under the terms of the
  22. section entitled "Limited License to Copy the Software".
  23.  
  24. You may use this Evaluation Copy of FileNotes on a forty five (45)
  25. day trial basis only, provided you do not violate the protection
  26. afforded the licensed software by the copyright laws, and you agree
  27. to the terms of the license agreement.  If you use FileNotes past
  28. the 45 day evaluation period you are required to purchase it.

  30. This Shareware Evaluation copy of FileNotes has a timeout feature
  31. that will disable the ablility to add notes after 45 days.

  33. Limited License to Copy the Software
  34. ------------------------------------
  35. You are granted a limited license to copy this Evaluation Version
  36. of FileNotes ONLY FOR THE TRIAL USE OF OTHERS subject to the
  37. terms of this software license agreement described herein, and 
  38. that the conditions described below are met.

  40. No fee, charge or other compensation may be accepted or requested
  41. by anyone without the express written permission of Jay Mosier. 
  42.  
  43. Public Domain Disk Vendors May NOT CHARGE a fee for FileNotes
  44. itself. However you may include FileNotes on a diskette/CD-ROM
  45. for which you charge a nominal distribution fee. The purchaser
  46. of said diskette must be informed in advance that the fee paid to
  47. acquire the diskette does NOT relieve said purchaser from paying
  48. the Registration Fee for FileNotes if said purchaser uses
  49. FileNotes.

  51. Statement of Registration Requirements
  52. --------------------------------------
  53. A statement of shareware registration requirements MUST be printed
  54. on a label, or other form, that is directly attached to the
  55. distribution media.
  56.  
  57. Operators of electronic bulletin board systems and Internet Sites 
  58. may post this Evaluation Copy of FileNotes for downloading by their 
  59. users without written permission ONLY AS LONG AS THE ABOVE CONDITIONS 
  60. ARE MET.  A fee may be charged for access to the BBS or Internet Site 
  61. AS LONG AS NO SPECIFIC FEE IS CHARGED FOR DOWNLOADING FileNotes 
  62. without first obtaining the express written permission from Jay Mosier 
  63. to charge such a fee.

  65. Evaluation and Registration
  66. ------------------------------------
  67. This is not free software.  This license allows you to use this
  68. software for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 45
  69. days.  If you use this software after the 45 day evaluation period
  70. a registration fee of $14 (US Currency) is required.  Payment can be
  71. with a Check or Money Order.

  79. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  83. PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR WILL PERFORM ADEQUATELY AT ALL TIMES.
