  1. INSTALLATION
  2.  
  3.    1. Unzip all files into some directory and add CUTEFTP.EXE to you
  4.       program manager group. 
  5.       
  6.       If you're upgrading from previous release,
  7.                DON'T OVERWRITE TREE.DAT and BOOKMARK.DAT files. 
  8.  
  9.       All other files can be overwritten safely.
  10.  
  11.    2. Copy CTL3DV2.DLL into Windows SYSTEM directory and delete it in
  12.       CuteFTP directory.
  13.  
  14.    3. Start CuteFTP and bring up Options dialog (File->Options menu)
  15.       Fill out Mail Address field.
  16.  
  17.    NOTE: In Windows 3.1 or 3.11 environment use CUTEFTP.EXE
  18.          In Windows 95 or NT environment use CUTFTP32.EXE
  19.  
  20. REQUIREMENTS
  21.  
  22.    CuteFTP requires MS Windows 3.1 or later, WINSOCK 1.1 or later
  23. network interface library and Ctl3dv2.dll (included).
  24.    You also need at least 2Mb memory.

  26. KNOWN PROBLEMS
  27.  
  28.    CuteFTP doesn't work with SunSoft PC-NFS, AOL Winsock.
  29.    
  30.    The were many problems reported when running CuteFTP with
  31. SLIP emulators (e.g. Twinsock, TIA, Slirp). However, in most cases
  32. using "PASV Mode" fixed them (In Options->Firewall set FireWall Type 
  33. to "PASV Mode" and put a check in "Enable Firewall" box).
