  10. ABOUT THIS MENU
  11. The New Hardware Configuration screen is used to specify
  12. the hardware parameter settings of a hardware device to
  13. the current device driver.
  14.  
  15. ADDING A NEW HARDWARE DEVICE
  16. NOTE:  The New Hardware Configuration screen is accessed by
  17.        pressing <F5> while in the Software Device Drivers
  18.        screen.
  19.  
  20.        To exit the New Hardware Configuration screen without
  21.        configuring a new hardware device, press <F8> at any
  22.        time before applying the changes.

  26. To configure a device driver to access a hardware device:
  27.     1.  Type the following hardware parameter values:
  28.            --- The hardware device name
  29.            --- The Unit number
  30.            --- The IPL value
  31.            --- The ITYPE value
  32.            --- The IRQ value
  33.            --- The start address for the I/O address range
  34.            --- The end address for the I/O address range
  35.            --- The start address for the memory address range
  36.            --- The end address for the memory address range
  37.            --- The DMA channel
  38.            --- The Bind CPU
  39.         Use the <Tab> or up/down arrow keys to move between fields.
  40.         In the device name field, type in the device name.  In all

  43.         other fields, use <F2> to display and select the device
  44.         driver parameter value.
  45.         NOTE:  If you are not sure what the valid values are,
  46.                press <F6> for extended device driver information.

  48.     2.  Press <F4> to verify that the device driver parameter
  49.         values you entered do not conflict with existing device
  50.         driver parameter values.

  52.         If an error is reported, repeat step 1 to correct the
  53.         problem.

  55.         To exit the New Hardware Configuration screen without
  56.         applying the changes, press <F8>.

  59.     3.  To apply the new hardware configuration and exit, press

  64. Press <F6> to obtain the following additional information:
  65.    --- The hardware driver name
  66.    --- The hardware device name
  67.    --- Whether the device driver is currently configured (Y=yes)
  68.    --- The Logical Unit Number
  69.    --- Valid values for the IPL
  70.    --- Valid values for the ITYPE
  71.    --- Valid values for the IRQ
