  3.  The BOX312 package is shareware.  It contains the powerful, versatile
  4.  and very portable program AstroShadowBox 3 (ABOX3.EXE), its online

  42.  Inc.  will follow the published guidelines of the Association of
  43.  Shareware Professionals and will attempt to maintain its policies and
  44.  documentation consistent with their guidelines.  Published guidelines
  45.  of the Association of Shareware Professionals will take precedent over
  46.  any current policies or documentation.

  48.  Shareware is "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not free.  We urge

  67.      AstroShadowBox 3 - The pop-up resident member (TSR) of the
  68.          Astro 3 team.  Provides math support for other DOS programs.
  69.          Pop-up via hot key, surround calculation in "shadow box", and
  70.          type "(enter)" to pass result down through keyboard buffer or
  71.          pop up, enter calculation and pass result down.  Great for
  72.          adding powerful and interactive math capabilities to DOS text
  73.          editors such as Brief (tm, Borland), PE2 (tm, IBM) or
  74.          WordPerfect (tm, WordPerfect).  Extensive features also include
  75.          screen dumps with appends as DOS text files or as parsed
  76.          columns in 123 (tm, Lotus) .WK1 files.  Requires as little as
  77.          15K of main memory.  Includes program ABOX3.EXE and on-line
  78.          help file ABOX3HLP.HLP

  85.  with the published guidelines of the Association of Shareware
  86.  Professionals <ASP>.  The Support and Arbitration Policies can be found

  88.  program ABOX3.EXE by the (F1) key.

  91.               Manually Installing Instructions

  94.  The file ABOX3HLP.DOC is a page-image version of the online help file
  95.  ABOX3HLP.HLP.  It is recommended that the user print this file by
  96.  copying it to a standard printer:

  100.      The following are minimal instructions for manually installing
  101.                          AstroDataFitter 3.
  102.  
  103. ■ Minimum distribution files:  README.1ST, ABOX3.ICO, ABOX3.EXE,
  104.   ABOX3HLP.HLP, ABOX3HLP.DOC.  These files may be
  105.   distributed in compressed formats such as BOX312.ZIP.

  107. ■ Create a DOS directory named ASTRO3 and change to it:
  108.  
  109.   cd\ (enter)    md\astro3 (enter)  cd \astro3 (enter)
  110.  
  111. ■ Copy distribution file(s) into this directory.
  112.  
  113. ■ If necessary, decompress BOX312.ZIP as follows:

  115.   pkunzip BOX312 (enter)

  117. ■ Add these statements to AUTOEXEC.BAT in the base directory:

  119.   ∙ SET ASTRO3=C:\ASTRO3
  120.   ∙ append to existing PATH statement  ;C:\ASTRO3;
  121.   · reboot the computer (ctrl alt del).

  123. ■ Running Under Windows as a Non-Windows Application
  124.  
  125.  Follow the installation instructions and install on the hard drive C.
  126.  Start WINDOWS (tm, MicroSoft).  Click on FILE then click on PROPERTIES.
  127.  Enter the following information for each of the fields.  Description:
  128.  AstroFormCalc 3, Command:  ABOX3.EXE, Working Directory:  \ASTRO3.
  129.  Click on CHANGE ICON.  Enter Filename:  C:\ASTRO3\ABOX3.ICO.  Click on
  130.  OK to exit and click on OK to exit FILE.  The Astro 3 icon should
  131.  appear in the accessory window.  Click on it to run ABOX3.  At "Get
  132.  file" prompt type YES (enter) and at filename prompt type (end esc)
  133.  ABOX3HLP.HLP(enter).
