- Centlim 0.91
- An educational Windows program to teach and learn statistics and
- probability.
- It illustrates the central limit theorem, i. e. tha fact that
- summing up independent random variables with equal distributions
- produces a distribution looking very similar to the normal
- (Gaussian) distribution.
- The program allows the user to enter almost any discrete distribution
- on the integers and graphically displays the probability
- distributions for the sum of 2, 5, 10, and 30 independent variables
- with the same distribution.
- The user can choose between the display of a histogram and the
- cumulative distribution function. The "best fitting" normal
- distribution can be superimposed on the graphics display.
