  6. Welcome to Steve Dossick's RabbitHelp, the best-selling Windows Add-On Help
  7. System in the world. RabbitHelp's innovative RabbitSteps and easy approach
  8. can help you make quick work of your daily computing tasks.

  12. The RabbitHelp Add-On Help System for Windows programs is used by thousands of
  13. individuals, corporations, educational institutions and government agencies in

  16. We're making Steve Dossick's RabbitHelp available to you under the Webster's
  17. Lexxicon No-Nonsense Availability Policy.  See the file AVAIL.TXT for more
  18. information on it.

  20. Depending on which edition you've downloaded, Steve Dossick's RabbitHelp will
  21. help you with WordPerfect (R) for Windows, Microsoft Word for Windows,
  22. Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3 for Windows, and other Windows
  23. applications.

  26. SECTION -1-  FLOPPY DISK BASED INSTALLATION
  27.  
  28. Insert the RabbitHelp disk into your floppy disk drive.  From the
  29. Windows Program Manager, click on File and select Run.  At the prompt,
  30. type A:\SETUP (or B:\SETUP), and press ENTER. 
  31.  
  32. When the installation is complete, click on the RabbitHelp icon, and you're
  33. ready to go! Just run your Windows application as you normally would.
  34. RabbitHelp is now seamlessly "plugged in" to the main menu of your application,
  35. and is launched automatically -- with a mouse click.

  38. SECTION -2- INSTALLATION FROM DOWNLOADED ZIP FILE
  39.  
  40. 1.  Included in this ZIP file is a program to automatically install
  41.     Steve Dossick's RabbitHelp onto your hard disk.  You'll need
  42.     approximately 2mb of free disk space to complete the installation.
  43.  
  44. 2.  From the Windows Program Manager, click the File menu and select
  45.     Run.  You'll be asked for the name of the program to run.  Enter
  46.     the name of the directory in which you downloaded this ZIP file
  47.     followed by SETUP.EXE.  For example, if you downloaded the file to
  48.     a directory called "C:\DOWNLOAD", you'd type "C:\DOWNLOAD\SETUP.EXE"
  49.     (without the quotes).
  50.  
  51. 3.  When the installation is complete, new icons for RabbitHelp will appear on
  52.     your Windows desktop. Click on the RabbitHelp icon, and you're ready to go!
  53.  
  54. 4.  Run your Windows application as you normally would. RabbitHelp is now
  55.     seamlessly "plugged in" to the main menu of your application, and is
  56.     launched with a mouse click.
  57.  
  58. 5.  Each time you start Windows, Steve Dossick's RabbitHelp will be
  59.     loaded -- automatically -- waiting for you to start your app.
  60.  
  61. 6.  Copy the RabbitHelp .ZIP file to a 3.5" or 5 1/4" diskette. This is your
  62.     backup copy in case you need to reinstall RabbitHelp.
  63.  
  64. 7.  Finally, delete the RabbitHelp .ZIP file from the download directory.

  67. SECTION -3- HOW TO GET THE LATEST VERSIONS OF RABBITHELP.

  69. A) You may download the RabbitHelp version you need from:

  83.     Below are steps to download a RabbitHelp file from the
  84.     Webster's Lexxicon Automated Online Service BBS:

  86. B)  For proper display, your communication software should
  87.     provide ANSI terminal support. Most packages provide
  88.     VT-100 terminal emulation, which is fine for the Webster's
  89.     Lexxicon Automated Online Service BBS.
  90.  
  91. C)  If you're using a Windows based package, select a screen
  92.     font (such as: Terminal) that includes extended ASCII
  93.     characters.
  94.  
  95. D)  Once connected, you'll be prompted to enter your first
  96.     and last name, and a password if you are a registered
  97.     user. If you haven't registered with us, you can logon
  98.     as a guest, by entering:
  99.  
  100.                              First Name: Guest
  101.                              Second Name: Guest
  102.                              Password: Guest
  103.  
  104.     The menu-driven system guides you through the various product
  105.     and file areas. You'll always receive a list of options when you
  106.     are prompted to make any choice.
  107.  
  108. E)  THE MAIN MENU
  109.  
  110.     The Main Menu shows the products whose files you can access.
  111.     
  112. F)  DOWNLOADING FILES
  113.  
  114.     Once you know the name of the file you want to download,
  115.     type "D" for download at the File menu. When prompted,
  116.     type the full name of the file or files. (If you do not
  117.     know the protocol or download keys to press, refer to
  118.     your telecommunications manual.)
  119.  
  120. G)  WORKING WITH DOWNLOADED FILES
  121.  
  122.     Most of the files on Webster's Automated Online Service BBS
  123.     are stored and transferred in an archived (compressed) format
  124.     and need to be unarchived before they can be used.
  125.  
  126.     If you don't have the unarchiving utility PKUNZIP v.204G or newer,
  127.     download PKZ204G.EXE from your favorite local BBS and execute it.
  128.     You'll receive PKUNZIP and PKZIP utilities. To unarchive
  129.     the RabbitHelp file, type PKUNZIP and then the name of the
  130.     archived file. For example: PKUNZIP RABPERF.ZIP or RABWORD.ZIP.
