  4. FreeForm makes programming easier and more fun by eliminating the
  5. grunt work that goes into creating window code.  It also helps
  6. alleviate Visual BASIC envy (grin)!
  7.  
  8. FreeForm is not standalone software!  FreeForm v1.2 is designed
  9. to work with Liberty BASIC v1.2.  It works with both the
  10. shareware and registered versions that program.
  11.  
  12. How to use FreeForm Lite
  13. ---------------------------------------------------------------
  14.  
  15. Pull down the Run menu from inside Liberty BASIC, and select
  16. FreeForm v1.2.
  17.  
  18. FreeForm will now load and run.  FreeForm is a large program and
  19. may take a few seconds to start up.
  20.  
  21.  
  22. Once FreeForm is running, you can begin designing your own windows
  23. with it.  To place a control onto the window, just click on the
  24. button for that control.  You may be asked for a label.  Once the
  25. control is displayed, you may move and resize it to your liking.

  28. Tips:
  29. ------------------------------------------------------------------

  31. - You can resize the window design by clicking anywhere on its
  32. surface.  Then drag the resizing tag (located at the lower right
  33. of the form) to resize.
  34.  
  35. - Inspect each item that you add and edit its properties.
  36.  
  37. - Once your layout is complete, generate code by pulling down the
  38. Output menu and selecting one of the two options there.  Then, after
  39. your window code has been generated, copy it from its window, and
  40. paste it into your program at an appropriate spot.

  42. - Don't forget to save your work.

  48. If you decide to share your modifications with others, you may
  49. upload your file to bulletin boards provided your file
  50. description (FILE_ID.DIZ) CLEARLY states that the file is modified
  51. and not original.  You must include copies of the original FFEXP.BAS
  52. and FFEXP.TKN files in your upload, and you must also make mention
  53. of this inside your archived upload named NOTICE.TXT (we've included
  54. an example NOTICE.TXT file).
