  17. To automate setup, configurations differ among:
  18.      *    BBS self-extracting LHA
  19.      *    BBS ZIP
  20.      *    3½" disk distribution
  21.      *    5¼" (360K) disk distribution
  22.  
  23. Shareware dealers, trying to help, often add procedures that
  24. inhibit MasterMind Typing installation.  Let nothing impede
  25. the automated SETUP that MasterMind Typing has!  When users
  26. fail to install, they blame us both.  Measures that you have
  27. used to standardize installation are especially perilous. 
  28. Please channel your creative energy elsewhere.

  30. The common mischief is an ingenious .BAT file that disk
  31. dealers add to every product.  Please refrain!  MasterMind
  32. Typing already has a HELP.BAT that tells the user how to
  33. start automated installation.  If your diskette label tells
  34. users to execute something, let it be my HELP.  Just rename
  35. my HELP.BAT as YOURNAME.BAT to conform with your label.

  37. Do not rearchive MasterMind Typing.  Everyone who has
  38. rearchived has made installation difficult or impossible.  If
  39. there is any deficiency in the archive that you have, let me
  40. fix it for you.

  42. If you prepare a master for reproduction that deviates from
  43. mine in the slightest, send me a copy for checkout.  I really
  44. mean in the slightest (except for renaming HELP.BAT), even if
  45. you only add a .TXT advisory.

  47. As your catalog description, please adopt CATALOG.TXT (or,
  48. for BBS archives, FILE_ID.DIZ).  Evolved through many
  49. conversations with users, it says what they need to know,
  50. attractively and briefly.  To illustrate the MasterMind
  51. Typing entry in your catalog, please contact me for
  52. GRAPHICS.ZIP if you don't have it already.
