  1. The version of Splot distributed in this zip file is a fully functional 
  2. demo version with only its hardcopy capability disabled. Examples of output 
  3. for the demo files can be viewed by printing the splotdoc.* postscript 
  4. files in the doc subdirectory. The documentation is in LATEX form with 
  5. splotdoc.tex being the main file. If you don't have LATEX these are ascii 
  6. files and can be read with an ordinary editor but there will be some 
  7. formating information to ignore. The documentation was sucessfully printed 
  8. on an HP III postscript printer and should hopefully print on all 
  9. postscript level 2 printers. Installation instructions can be found in the 
  10. file doc\hard.tex. Be sure to use the appropriate flag while unzipping
  11. so that the necessary sub directories are created if your un-zipping 
  12. utility requires it.
