  1. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE INSTALLED PMVIEW 0.90 OR LATER AND WANT TO UPGRADE:
  2.  
  3.    Unzip PMVIEW92.ZIP to the directory where you installed PMView.
  4.    Over-write the old files (you may want to save a backup copy first).
  5.  
  6.    If you are a registered user (and you put your name and registration in
  7.    the file MYCODE), you can register the new version by entering REGME at
  8.    an OS/2 prompt.
  9.  
  10.    To create a desktop icon for PMView 0.92, enter UPDATE at an OS/2 prompt.
  11.    The new icon will be named 'PMView92' and will have associations for the
  12.    new graphics formats (IFF, MSP, and PNG).
  13.  
  14. IF YOU ARE INSTALLING PMVIEW FOR THE FIRST TIME:
  15.  
  16.    To install PMView and set it up properly, please do the following:
  17.  
  18.    1) Create a directory for PMView. Switch to this directory.
  19.  
  20.    2) Unzip the ZIP file into this directory
  21.  
  22.    Now, do *one* of the following
  23.  
  24.    3a) Run INSTALL.CMD at an OS/2 prompt. This will create an icon, set up
  25.    the filter files, and set the 3 environment variables that PMView needs.
  26.  
  27.    OR:
  28.  
  29.    3b) If you prefer to do the things in 3a by hand, read DIY.TXT and follow
  30.    the directions there.
